i love how you tell me the little things. how you need a haircut. how you’re not going to get one, not until you see me first (when will i get to see you?). i love not having to subtract four hours in my head to tell the time anymore.
i love how you find the time to text me in the middle of watching transformers with your boys. how you wake me up in the mornings, just to hear my sleepy voice. how you get excited when it rains where you’re at. and how you want to know is it raining where i am? now that your sky and mine share the same clouds again.
i love knowing you’re closer now. nowhere near how close i’d like you to be. but close enough.
“I stood watching as you crossed the street for the last time. Trying hard to memorize you. Knowing it would be important. The way you walked, the way you looked back over your shoulder at me…”—Rod Mckuen (via jennifurmarie) (via she-alone) (via lexluthr) (via booktumbling) (via out-of-my-dreams)
“The thing people forget is how good it can feel when you finally set secrets free. Whether good or bad, at least they’re out in the open. And once your secrets are out in the open, you don’t have to hide behind them anymore. The problem with secrets is even when you think you’re in control, you’re not.”—Meredith Grey | Grey’s Anatomy (via kari-shma) (via quote-book) (via enamour)
