“She’s never been one to wait around. She’s always moving and dancing and running. But for some reason, with him, she’s patient. She’ll wait. She’ll wait for nobody and nothing else, except him.”—(via iampotkettleblack) (via pointblankjustme)
“William was raised in the outskirts of the steel city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the youngest child of two blind parents. Due to the family’s inability to communicate through normal visual means, William’s childhood home was filled with a myriad of sounds to replace what eyes could not see. The house was suffused with pianos, guitars, trombones, talking birds, classical records, family sing-a-longs, bedtime stories, and the bellowing of a pipe organ, which his father built into the house with his own hands.”
“My hands tend to be full enough dealing with people who hate me for who I am. Concentrate too hard on the millions of people who hate you for what you are and you’re likely to turn into one of those unkempt, sloppy dressers who sag beneath the weight of the two hundred political buttons they wear pinned to their coats and knapsacks.”—David Sedaris (via kari-shma)
“The saddest kind of sad is the sad that tries not to be sad. You know, when Sad tries to bite it’s lip and not cry and smile and go, “No, I’m happy for you”? That’s when it’s really sad.”—John Mayer (via eletheowl) (via chocolate-cigarettes)
Does anybody watch it? And because I’m a med student, is the medicine any good? I saw the promo clip on YouTube and it seemed pretty interesting. They’ve got 5 episodes out already but I haven’t watched any yet and if I start I know I’ll get hooked.
“The song is sophisticated and carefully composed, but it’s all in the interest of expressing a feeling and a thought with clarity and precision. They aren’t being show-offs, they are just very articulate young men.”—Matthew Perpetua, on Vampire Weekend’s Horchata (via Fluxblog)
“At the end of the day, there are some things you just can’t help but talk about. Some things we just don’t want to hear, and some things we say because we can’t be silent any longer. Some things are more than what you say, they’re what you do. Some things you say because there’s no other choice. Some things you keep to yourself. And not too often, but every now and then, some things simply speak for themselves.”—Grey’s Anatomy (via littlemiss) (via littlespiralbook)
Things have been unbelievably great lately and they just keep on getting better. Thank you ever so much sweetie your postcard definitely made for another ray of sunshine on my (suspiciously ha) clear, calm and untroubled sky.
is coming home after a long day of working your butt off,
putting your aching feet in a basin of warm water,
having a long hot shower,
emerging clean and smelling nice,
putting on your favourite comfort clothes,
snuggling up on your bed with chocolates nearby,
putting on some good music,
catching up on tumblr. :)
Rained all day today. My feet and socks are still damp! Doing this now, shower in a bit :)
Welcome home! I should probably tell you, when I run out of ideas on what to listen to, I sneak back to your old blog and listen to your old audio posts. They’re so yummy! So don’t be alarmed if you see sudden spikes of readership from here. ;)
This is interesting, because… Well. I’ll just let you wait and see for yourself. Wouldn’t want to ruin the surprise heh.
